| The Dominican Republic was Will's first
travel experience outside of the United States and Canada. He had never
really thought about traveling before, but was convinced that it might
be a good idea. He booked into an all inclusive and flew down. After
about 3 days boredom set in with just being at the hotel and the beach
in front of the hotel so decided to rent a car and do some exploring.
This is where the travel bug was born. The Dominican Republic turned out
to be a beautiful country, with all kinds of landscape, and a number of
rebuilt ruins. Will also went on a sailboat trip in the Dominican
Republic, and soon realized that a sailboat would allow for more travel
at a reasonable price. Seventy percent of the countries on earth have
ocean frontage. This is where the dream of owning a sailboat, and
traveling the world was born. |
